Controllers

Optotune’s adaptive optics are driven by precise current control. To support this, Optotune provides a full range of off-the-shelf controllers that deliver the required current while adding advanced software features such as temperature compensation, response time optimization, and long-term stability. From R&D labs to high-volume industrial systems, our controllers ensure reliable and accurate operation.

  • Precise current controllers covering our full product range
  • Guaranteed best stability and response time of our products
  • Single and multi-channel versions
  • Software integration via SDKs or through GenICam cameras
  • Future proof thanks to regular firmware updates
Controllers regulate the current supplied to Optotune products. By fine-tuning this current, they directly influence lens curvature, mirror deflection, or prism tilt. Integrated features such as feedback loops, temperature sensors, signal conditioning, interface options, and software libraries allow users to achieve precise and quick optical adjustments with minimal integration effort from evaluation to series production.

Optotune controllers have high output current stability across a wide temperature range. They make optimal use of calibration data read
from attached devices to achieve best performance out-of-the box.

Thanks to a variety of communication interfaces, powering options and OEM versions, our controllers cover user demands from evaluation
to series production.

A growing number of camera partners directly support Optotune’s embedded controllers natively from the GenICam camera interface.

Signal conditioning

Our lens controllers read device-specific and temperature dependent dynamic properties and use thisinformation to optimize the control current in real-time.

Settling time for lenses is halved, enabling you to acquire targets quicker than ever before.

Choose electronics for industrial use in ruggedized housings with Hirose connection or compact OEM form for FPC connections.

For RnD purposes consider our optional extension boards for additional flexibility.

The MR-E-3 is a fully integrated driving solution for MR-series 2D fast steering mirrors, offering full open- and closed-loop control, high bandwidth, and efficient PWM driving. The MR-E-3 Development Kit enables easy plug-and-play testing and implementation.

Our XPR/FMR series are best evaluated with the ICC-4C-2000 controller using the extension board.
