XPR Series

Optotune’s XPRs are Extended Pixel Resolution 4-position actuators. By accurately and rapidly tilting a glass window, light that passes through it is shifted laterally.

In projection & imaging systems, this offers a lower cost solution to increase the resolution by a factor of 4 compared to the higher native resolution.

The Optotune XPR-18 is an Extended Pixel Resolution 4-position actuator designed for Texas Instrument’s 0.39” DMD (4.5µm diamond pixel size) and enables the image resolution to be 4 times from its native 1080P to 4K resolution.

The Optotune XPR-26 is an Extended Pixel Resolution 4-position actuator designed for Texas Instrument’s 0.47” SST DMD (5.4mm pixel size) and also covers 0.47” TRP DMD and 0.48’’ DMD. It enables the image resolution to be 4 times higher, from its native 1080P to 4K resolution.
